Townley Hall KS1 History Trip
Class 1 went on a history and art trip to Townely Hall, Burnley on Monday 30th January.
We had a hands-on session looking at how toys have changed since our grandparents time. We played with a dolls house that didn’t have a bathroom! We also played blow football, walked on stilts. played jacks and had a go on an old push car. After lunch we were given access to the hall where we looked at the painting of Kettledrum and looked at portraits. We had a go at sketching a famous painting by Woodhouse called ‘Destiny’.
Thank you to Miss Burch who volunteered and helped us for the day and Mike, the Museum Guide, who made our trip informative and fun!
