• Townley Hall KS1 History Trip

  Class 1 went on a history and art trip to Townely Hall, Burnley on Monday 30th January.

   

  We had a hands-on session looking at how toys have changed since our grandparents time. We played with a dolls house that didn’t have a bathroom! We also played blow football, walked on stilts. played jacks and had a go on an old push car. After lunch we were given access to the hall where we looked at the painting of Kettledrum and looked at portraits. We had a go at sketching a famous painting by Woodhouse called ‘Destiny’.

   

  Thank you to Miss Burch who volunteered and helped us for the day and Mike, the Museum Guide, who made our trip informative and fun!

  

• Forest Fun

  Children have raised enough money to buy an Olive Tree for a Palestinian family. They paid £1 for a morning of forest fun; roasting marshmallows and den building!

  

• New Sports Club

  The new after school sports club has begun! This half term has kicked off with football.
