This week, all the children had enormous fun bartering in the forest! Gardeners and Seedlings created an object (such as a toy or decorative animal) out of natural materials. Once completed, the children had to barter with each other and exchange their creations with someone else. They then all discussed the feelings they felt whilst bartering; some children were excited and happy whereas others were disappointed or even frustrated when the object they wanted had already been exchanged.
Imam Ashraf Varachhia from Clitheroe Mosque came to school on Thursday 8th September to talk to the children about Hajj. The talk was very interesting and children had many pre-prepared questions for the Imam. After the visit, the children wrote a ‘diary entry’ about what they had learnt.
