  • NSPCC Number Day

    Sat 03 Feb 2018

    NSPCC Number Day
An amazing £50.45 was raised on NSPCC Number Day!  Number Day began in the forest with mathematical activities involving measurement; the younger junior children estimated and measured ground distances, whilst the older children used a simple method of trigonometry to work out the height of trees.  The infant children had fun completing activities linked to shape.  At break time, the children bought cakes and biscuits with a number theme.  Thank you to all those who helped bake, they were delicious and very popular with the children!  The school hall was buzzing with excitement when children played Maths games with parents and carers in the afternoon and to end Number Day, a maths-based prayer was read out in assembly.

  • Harry Potter Book Night Celebrations

    Thu 01 Feb 2018

Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts fans had magical fun in the library, where they had to match the names of dragons with their description, complete word searches and draw their favourite fantastic beast and even invent their own!  These activities are linked to the National Harry Potter Book Night events running throughout the country.
