  • WADDOW HALL TRIP JULY 2018

    Wed 18 Jul 2018

A massive thank you once again to the FOTS, (our PTA group) who treated the children to a day of outdoor adventure at Waddow Hall.  All children had a fabulous time and it was great to see all the team work which was going on throughout the day!  The children's behaviour was impeccable and the weather did not dampen any spirits.

  • FAMOUS AUTHORS WRITE TO THE CHILDREN

    Tue 03 Jul 2018
Linking with our Rights Respecting Schools Award and Lancashire's We are Reading Pledge, our junior children wrote to famous children's authors about the need for more story books that include children with disabilities within them (UN Child Article 23).  We were very excited to receive letters, books and stickers from famous authors such as Jeremy Strong, Sue Hendra and Julia Donaldson!
  • ST MARY & ST JOSEPH'S BIG SCHOOL EXPERIENCE

    Tue 03 Jul 2018

Year 5 & Year 6 spent the morning at St Mary & St Joseph's RC Primary School, Blackburn.  With over 170 children, the school was enormously different to ours! After a tour of the 3 storey school, our children joined the classes to do some maths challenges and help edit children's writing. Following break, Zeus, the Ancient Greek God, came to answer children's questions in their amazing 4D room!

Madeleine - I liked the design of their new library and how the school was very welcoming.  I do however, prefer the small, family size of our own school.

Joe - I thought the children were friendly and the 4D room was 'cool' but I much prefer little schools to big ones.
