Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
On Saturday morning, the children sang Christmas Carols at Clitheroe market, raising £30 for Nightsafe. A large crowd gathered to listen to the beautiful singing of our children and to watch their accompanying actions. A couple of Clitheroe residents commented about how it had cheered them up and made their Christmas, as all three different residents were experiencing difficult times. Well done to all the children involved.
The nativity performance was certainly 'a cracker'. This year, the Christmas Story was brought to life, during a modern day Christmas family dinner. Children showed off their fabulous acting and singing skills, as well as sense of humour - with several Christmas cracker jokes! Well done to the children who were absolute stars. Many thanks to Mrs Hester and Mrs Eveson, who constructed and painted the decorative backdrop and props. Also, a big thank you to the FOGS who organised a Christmas raffle to raise funds for the school and who helped serve and organise refreshments. The children sold Christmas crafts to raise money for Nightsafe, a Blackburn charity who helps young homeless people, this charity was chosen as part of the school's aim towards achieving the Rights, Respecting Schools Award (Article 27 of the UN Child Rights: You have the right to a safe place to live and your basic needs met).
