On Wednesday 24th May, Class 1 joined with Year 1 & 2 from St Mary’s, Osbaldeston for a day in the forest. The children spent the day doing lots of fun activities including making a playground ride for their teddies, making maps, listening to stories, stilling exercises, den building, hide & seek playing, prayer walking and most importantly making new friends. Hopefully we can arrange another get together in the woods soon!
Children enjoyed competing in groups and individually in races during our sports day afternoon. The Whitendale Warriors were our winners this year! Well done to all the children for taking part and giving it your all!
The juniors enjoyed a very informative visit to Lytham-St-Anne’s traditional Synagogue. They enthusiastically listened to a Rabbi telling them all about the Jewish faith and explaining what they could see around them in the Synagogue, including: the star of David, scrolls, Hebrew writing, a Menorah, a yad and the Bima. It was interesting for them to compare the Jewish religion to their own and they enjoyed hearing about the 5 books of the Old Testament, which they are familiar with. Children asked many questions! Towards the end of the visit, they even enjoyed tasting some homemade Jewish biscuits!
