Today we had a scrumptious ‘royal’ teddy bears’ picnic in the sunshine with Dunsop Village playgroup. Our picnic treat was in celebration of the coronation of King Charles III.
Congratulations to our Year 6 superstars who have just finished their week of National SATS tests. One of the highlights of their week has been their special breakfast mornings! Food chosen by themselves and loving prepared by our Governor Mrs Janet Wells. The French toast was ‘très,très bon’. 🍞🥐☕️
Opening their doors in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Toms Table is a new French-inspired bistro in the heart of the Ribble Valley. Head Chef, Tom Drinkall, hails from a local farming family and has returned to his Clitheroe roots, after working in top kitchens around the globe. He visited the children telling them all about how he designs his menu and brings the dishes together to serve in his restaurant.
From the question and answer sessions the children discovered that: Tom began to chef after leaving school and he travelled to France where he skied every day, then cooked in the evenings, he’s been to Australia and Switzerland for two years each. He's cooked for people such as David Beckham, Robbie Williams and Leonardo DiCaprio. Tom’s favourite thing to cook is Beef Wellington and Lemon Meringue for dessert.
